Liz Black… conceptual statement pieces for the modern fashionista.

Following her graduation from Central Saint Martins college and a highly-acclaimed press show, Venezuelan-born Liz Black chose to set up her own label to give her the freedom to express her individual creativity.  Having gained experience working alongside Emilio de la Morena, Elisa Palomino and Diane Von Furstenberg in London and New York, she created LIZ BLACK in 2010.

The LIZ BLACK label reflects conceptual creativity with a minimal and elegant aesthetic.  Its focus is on wearable statement pieces with a timeless appeal, emphasising chic and impeccably tailored structures that complement the feminine silhouette.  The LIZ BLACK woman is sophisticated, elegant and cosmopolitan.  A daring dresser, she is independent, empowered and fashion-forward.

Liz’s designs have appeared in all of the major fashion publications, both nationally and internationally.  she was selected by Roland Mouret as a semi-finalist for the prestigious fashion fringe awards 2011 and was recently named by Vogue Italia’s senior fashion editor Sara Maino as a 'Vogue Talent'.

Liz’s collections have appeared on the catwalk in London, Paris, Istanbul and Warsaw.  She is rapidly gaining a celebrity following, with her designs having been worn by the pop icon Lady Gaga, top model Amber le Bon, the Turkish tv presenter Eda Taspinar at Istanbul fashion week, the TV presenter Izzy Lawrence at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and the singer Sophie Blackburn at the Brit awards 2012.
